Position Overview/Job Summary:
We’re seeking a dynamic Tow Truck Operator who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about vehicle recovery and roadside assistance. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting vehicles from one location to another and providing Roadside Assistance as needed. This position requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and attention to detail with additional regard for safety protocol.
Job Details:
- Pay: Commission Based $25/hr for Overnight Shift Differential
- Shift & Schedule: Weekends as needed, on call as needed
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operation of both Rollback and Wrecker style tow trucks to transport vehicles
- Recovery of vehicles stuck in unfavorable conditions: deep snow, ditch, etc.
- Roadside Service as needed including: tires changes, jump starts and vehicle unlocks
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, motorists, and emergency responders during recovery operations
- Interaction with Law Enforcement
- Yard cleanup including: battery removal, vehicle clean-out and scrapyard tows
- Inspection of provided vehicle and equipment daily including: fluids, brakes, tires, etc.
- Observation and reporting of maintenance needed on provided vehicle
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and traffic regulations at all times during operation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Montana Drivers License with clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check and be willing to submit pre-employment and spot-check drug screening
- Related experience preferred but not required (on-the-job training will be provided for all duties & responsibilities)
- Must be available to respond to emergency call back as needed
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude under pressure
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Lifting up to 80 pounds is required
- Work requires high attention to detail
- Frequent exposure to disagreeable elements such as: dirt, grease or unpleasant weather conditions
