This is an entry-level position, main duties include cashiering and stocking product.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries, ensuring they feel valued and supported.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and card payments.
- Conduct product demonstrations and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales.
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to keep the store inviting.
- Support inventory management by organizing stock, restocking shelves, and reporting shortages or damages.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions about products, store policies, or promotions with clear communication and professionalism.
- Carry out assigned responsibilities with accuracy and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience is a plus but not mandatory; eagerness to learn is key!
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and phone etiquette enhances your effectiveness on the sales floor.
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during busy hours.
- A positive attitude with excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming shopping experience.
