Restaurant Server and Host

As a vital link between the kitchen and the table, you’ll deliver outstanding service, recommend menu items, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return. Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using OpenTable or similar reservation systems
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions
• Serve food and beverages with professionalism, including cocktail and spirits service, while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
• Upsell menu items including wines, specialty drinks, and desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Process cash and credit card payments accurately while managing cash handling responsibilities
• Clear tables efficiently, bus tables as needed, and maintain cleanliness of the dining area in compliance with sanitation guidelines
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, beverage options, and menu items to elevate the guest experience

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is required; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
• Experience in cocktail mixing, spirits knowledge, and beverage service enhances your ability to upsell effectively
• Ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and handling cash confidently
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is essential

Pay: $13.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
