What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundsman - Green's Tree Service position at Green's Tree Service LLC?
Green's Tree Service is a family-owned tree care company serving Marin County. We're looking for a reliable Groundsman to join our crew.
Position: This role is currently part-time, with the goal of moving to full-time as soon as possible for the right person.
Responsibilities:
- Assist climbers and crew with pruning and removal operations
- Operate and maintain chippers, chainsaws, and other ground equipment
- Drag, chip, and haul brush and debris
- Help with rigging, rope work, and site cleanup
- Maintain a safe work site and follow all safety protocols
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks and equipment
Requirements:
- 1 years of experience preferred, ideally in tree work or a related trade (landscaping, construction, utility work, etc.)
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Willingness to learn and take direction from crew lead/climber
Preferred (not required):
- Chainsaw experience
- Familiarity with rigging and rope systems
- CDL
