The Youth Director creates vibrant, welcoming faith communities where middle school and high school youth can explore their spirituality, build authentic friendships, and discover who God is calling them to be. This role centers on cultivating a "third space"—beyond home and school—where young people feel safe to be themselves, ask big questions, have fun, and experience Christ’s love through meaningful relationships. The Youth Director balances engaging programming with spiritual depth, ensuring that GFC is a place where faith comes alive through laughter, service, community, discipleship, and genuine connection.

  • Builds authentic relationships and inclusive community where every young person feels seen, valued, and welcomed; provides pastoral support and guidance as youth navigate questions about faith, identity, relationships, and life challenges; and maintains regular communication and an open-door presence with youth and families
  • Participates in Tuesday staff meetings, maintaining open communication with pastoral staff, and coordinates with church operations team on facility use, travel, and resources as needed
  • Manages Church Planning Center for registrations, attendance tracking, and communications; maintains accurate records, tracks budget, and oversees event logistics including payments, permissions, and volunteer coordination
