Duties
- Safely handle dogs of various breeds and temperaments during bathing, grooming, and drying processes
- Perform pet coat styling, trimming nails, cleaning ears, and other grooming procedures
- Restrain animals gently but effectively to ensure safety during grooming procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations and sanitize tools regularly to uphold hygiene standards
- Assist with pet sitting or light pet care duties as needed to support overall animal well-being
- Lift heavy equipment or pets safely to facilitate grooming tasks while prioritizing safety for both animals and staff
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dog handling, pet grooming, or animal care is desirable, but not required
- Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician/assistant experience is a plus
- Familiarity with dog training techniques and animal restraint methods is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up tp 50 pounds) safely as part of daily duties
- Passion for animal care with a positive attitude and attention to detail
