We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will be an RN or LPN with extensive Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional resident care.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Management: Support the Director of Nursing (DON) and assume responsibilities in their absence, overseeing daily clinical operations.
Staff Supervision: Assist in hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating nursing staff, while providing coaching and addressing performance needs.
Scheduling & Staffing: Help develop and manage nursing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage across all shifts.
Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, conduct audits and rounds, and contribute to quality assurance committees.
Policy & Procedure Implementation: Support the development and enforcement of nursing policies to maintain high standards of care.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
Infection Control: Assist with the Infection Prevention and Control program, promoting a safe and healthy environment.
Resident Care Coordination: Collaborate with healthcare providers and other departments to address resident needs and improve outcomes.
Budgeting: Assist the DON in managing departmental budgets and resources effectively.
Documentation & Reporting: Ensure accuracy in medical records and contribute to administrative reporting.
Qualifications
Active RN or LPN license in good standing.
Extensive Skilled Nursing Facility experience required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with staff, residents, and families.
In-depth knowledge of nursing best practices and healthcare regulations.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to manage challenges in patient care and staffing.
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and email systems.
Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
