What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural Steel Erector/Installer/Welder position at Green Mountain Fabrication, Inc.?
Description/Expectations for Position:
- Description: Read & interpret structural drawings and weld symbols to install/erect structural & architectural steel.
- Structural Welding: Operate industrial welding equipment, managing precise electrode and wire selection to fuse carbon steel. WABO or similar certification required (D1.8 preferred).
- Pay Rate: Up to $40.00 / hour (Depending on Experience / DOE).
- Schedule: Monday – Friday (Occasional weekends and OT required).
- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Day Shift).
- Location: Woodland, WA.
- Status: Full-Time, Long-Term Position.
Requirements for Candidate:
- Mandatory Experience: Must have proven, hands-on experience specifically installing architectural or structural steel.
- Core Trade Skills: Proficient as both a welder and a fitter.
- Blueprint Literacy: Expert capability reading erection drawings/project blueprints.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, stoop, bend, pull, and work actively in shop (at times) & jobsites.
- Compliance: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen; some background restrictions may apply.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely lift and maneuver steel configurations weighing 50–75 lbs consistently.
