What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapist (LMHC / LMFT - Florida) position at Green Mountain Counseling?
Green Mountain Counseling PLLC, a dynamic and direct-approach group therapy practice, is looking for talented, fully-licensed therapists (LMHC/LMFT/LCSW) to join our team as we expand our Texas-based practice into Florida. Our specialities include working with individuals, teens, and children with severe anxiety, depressive, and trauma symptoms as well as interpersonal conflicts, including personality disorders.
The ideal candidate has strong therapeutic perspectives, skills, and a desire to grow professionally in a private practice environment. We offer a flexible, full-time schedule to fit your needs based on your availability.
Responsibilities
- Provide at least 25 hours (average) of therapy per week (individual, couples, or family), using evidenced-based counseling techniques (CBT, SFBT, Client-Centered, etc.).
- Establishes positive, trusting rapport with clients.
- Diagnose and treat mild to severe mental health disorders.
- Maintains required records to be completed within prescribed, reasonable timeframes.
- Creates individualized treatment plans according to client needs and circumstances, and conducts ongoing assessments of patient progress.
- Use positive communication skills and service recovery techniques to maintain these therapeutic relationships.
- Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality.
- Communicate needs or any changes to the team.
Qualifications
- A license to provide therapeutic services independently in the state of Florida (LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW). Individuals who are under supervision in this role (such as an RMHI) are not eligible at this time.
- Availability to provide an average of 25 sessions per week of individual, family, or couples counseling services.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to build rapport quickly, communicating with compassion and empathy
- One (1) year commitment to the position so that we can provide consistency to our clients.
- Ability to offer some in-person sessions from Green Mountain Counseling’s Brandon, FL offices preferred, but this position can be almost entirely remote if desired.
- A direct approach to both therapy and communication
- Serious about therapy, but with a great sense of humor
