What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineer position at Green Machine Sales?
Green Machine Sales LLC, a recycling equipment manufacturer is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. A candidate for this position will need to draw from their prior success in mechanical and structural engineering and apply that knowledge to a new evolving waste processing industry. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, thinks creatively, and brings a standard of excellence with at least 1-3 years of experience in mechanical systems engineering.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed design recycling system equipment and supporting structures, working closely in collaboration with the sales and engineering teams
- Create engineering drawings for manufacturing, field installation and documentation
- Specify components in order to create Bill of Materials
- Use ERP software and work closely with procurement to ensure components arrive correctly and on schedule
- Manage projects as they travel through the manufacturing process on the production floor
- Document and educate team members on standardized procedures and best practices
- Identify and lead process improvement opportunities to drive efficiency in our manufacturing and engineering tasks
- Seek out and implement cost reductions across the board, and develop relationships with suppliers
- Contribute to an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, high performance, and outstanding quality in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience is preferred
- Experience working in a Design and or Electrical Engineering role is a plus
- Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCad software
- Professional decorum when speaking to customers
- ERP software experience
- Knowledge of various manufacturing/machining processes including, sheet metal bending, punching, and welding
- Experience in designing recycling equipment and conveyors is a plus
- Experience in synthesizing mechanical component requirements
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, self-identify problems and consistently meet deadlines
- Willingness to tackle new or challenging tasks
- Ability to work overtime when needed

Pay: $55, $80,000.00 per year
