Final Mile Appliance Delivery & Installation Technician
Position: Final Mile Box Truck Delivery & Appliance InstallationEmployment Type: Case-by-case / contract opportunity
We are looking for experienced Final Mile Appliance Delivery & Installation Technicians to handle residential delivery and installation of major appliances.
This position involves delivering appliances directly to customers’ homes, safely maneuvering appliances into the home, completing installations, and ensuring the customer receives a professional experience from start to finish.
Appliances Include
- Refrigerators
- Ranges — gas and electric with tip brackets
- Washers ( stackable options)
- Dryers ( stackable options)
- Ice makers
- No dishwashers
Responsibilities
- Safely load, transport, and deliver appliances to residential customers
- Navigate stairs, tight spaces, doorways, and other challenging delivery conditions
- Properly remove and reinstall refrigerator doors when necessary for entry
- Complete appliance installations according to manufacturer and job requirements
- Connect electric ranges using the appropriate range cord/pigtail
- Perform gas range connections when qualified and permitted
- Connect washers, dryers, refrigerators, ice makers, and related appliances
- Inspect appliances and work areas for damage before and after installation
- Maintain a clean and professional work area
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Properly document completed deliveries and installations
- Follow all applicable safety procedures and installation requirements
Required Experience & Skills
- Previous major appliance delivery and installation experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of residential appliance installation
- Must be comfortable with refrigerator door removal and reinstallation
- Experience working with electric range cords/pigtails
- Experience with both gas and electric appliances
- Ability to safely move heavy appliances
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a delivery team
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation to the assigned reporting location
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who understands that final-mile appliance delivery is more than simply dropping an appliance at the customer’s door. You should be comfortable with the delivery, maneuvering, installation, testing, and customer handoff process.
Experience with appliance delivery, home delivery, big-box retail delivery, or similar final-mile operations is highly valued.
Compensation: Discussed on a case-by-case basis based on experience, qualifications, and scope of work
Pay: $100.00 - $150.00 per day
Work Location: On the road
