About Green Li-ion
Green Li-ion is seeking a Technical Engineering Manager to support its Atoka, Oklahoma facility—North America’s first commercial-scale plant producing battery-grade materials from recycled lithium-ion batteries. The facility utilizes Green Li-ion’s patented GREEN HYDROREJUVENATION™ technology to process unsorted lithium-ion battery waste (“black mass”) into high-purity precursor cathode active material (pCAM) and anode materials.
Role Overview
The Technical Engineering Manager will provide technical leadership for the optimization, scale-up, and commercialization of hydrometallurgical processes at the Atoka plant. This role bridges process engineering, manufacturing execution, and operational readiness, ensuring technologies successfully transition from late-stage development through full manufacturing readiness.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience advancing technologies from Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 9 through Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) 7 and is comfortable working onsite and traveling to Atoka, Oklahoma as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of chemical and hydrometallurgical processes.
- Drive the transition of processes from TRL 9 into full Manufacturing Readiness (MRL) 7, supporting commercial-scale production.
- Provide technical leadership to engineering teams supporting plant operations, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with operations, R&D, quality, and EH&S teams to improve plant performance, reliability, and product quality.
- Analyze process data to identify performance gaps, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and internal engineering best practices.
- Support scale-up activities, process documentation, and technical risk assessments for fixed plant operations.
- Review, develop, and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
