Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Prepare non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks with precision and care
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales efficiently and accurately
- Handle retail sales transactions including cash handling, processing cash transactions, and giving correct change
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by cleaning tables, counters, equipment, and food prep surfaces in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist in food handling and food preparation tasks to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Manage beverage service from order taking to drink delivery while ensuring timely service during busy hours
- Follow proper food safety protocols and food handling procedures at all times
- Support the team with basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management as needed
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues and supporting store operations
Skills
- Previous food service or café experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of non-alcoholic beverage preparation techniques and coffee experience preferred
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks during peak hours seamlessly
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations
- Commitment to food safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Effective cleaning skills to maintain a tidy, safe environment in line with health regulations
- Basic understanding of the food industry operations and café environment
