Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to join our care team. This role is responsible for safely administering medications, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting with resident care needs in compliance with physician orders, state regulations, and community policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications according to physician orders, state laws, and community policies
  • Accurately document medication administration, observations, and resident responses
  • Monitor residents for changes in health or behavior and promptly report to supervisor
  • Maintain accountability and security of medications, including controlled substances
  • Ensure proper storage, ordering, and reordering of medications
  • Support residents with meal assistance, activities, and other basic care as needed
  • Respond to emergency situations and resident requests promptly and appropriately
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, and care team members
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification required; state-specific certifications (e.g., CNA, HCA, or Med Tech certification) may be required
  • Prior experience administering medications in an assisted living, senior living, or healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation skills
  • Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs with assistance as needed
