JOB PURPOSE: The Laundry Worker promotes and supports the high level of service that Green Lake Conference Center expects through all related laundry service functions.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean, fold, and process all laundry properly and efficiently.
• Report any laundry maintenance issues that need to be addressed.
• Clean and organize laundry room, staging area, break room, bathroom, and equipment.
• Participate in yearly linen inventory processes.
• Follow all safety procedures in daily routine including the proper use of chemicals.
• Assist other team members when needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

In addition to collaborating with other staff, the Laundry Worker will work closely with Laundry and Supply Systems Facilitator, Quality Assurance and Training Coordinator, and Housing Services Director, as well as other department directors, volunteers, and work groups.

WORK SCHEDULE

Part-Time year-round commitment of 20-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday with possible evening and/or weekend commitments during peak guest volume.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Exert 50 to 75 pounds of force occasionally.

• Stand or walk for long periods of time.

• Bend, kneel, and raise arms over head.

• Operate floor machines of various sizes.

• Use your hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

• Repeat the same movements.

• Bend or twist your body.

• Work with cleaning chemicals, wearing proper PPE.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma, GED or HSED.

• Valid Driver’s License preferred.

• Conscientiousness, attention to detail, and initiative.

• Cooperative and pleasant attitude.

• Exhibit workplace professionalism, including being dependable, responsible, and reliable.

• Possess a “guest service” mindset with an outgoing personality.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Exude humility and kindness towards all GLCC guests, staff, volunteers, and donors.
