Duties
- Work as a team-member to complete all tasks in a timely manner
- Perform all daily cleaning tasks as set forth by the Shelter Manager or the daily task list
- Assure all dietary, water, exercise, and enrichment needs of the animals are met daily, or as directed by the Shelter Manager
- Monitor the individual and population health and behaviors of the animals, bringing concerns to the Shelter Manager
- Assist at shelter events as necessary
- Other general responsibilities as determined necessary
Requirements
- Prior experience in animal handling, kennel work, or pet care is highly preferred, but not necessary
- Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus
- Experience working with cats and dogs
- Ability to handle animals safely
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Willingness to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly
- Basic understanding of pet grooming and pet sitting responsibilities
- A genuine passion for animal welfare combined with a proactive attitude towards cleanliness and safety
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
