Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and result-driven Business Development Manager with
strong industry experience in selling raw materials/ingredients to manufacturers in the
nutraceuticals, supplements, and allied industries. The ideal candidate should have a
strong network in the U.S. market, a consultative selling approach, and the ability to drive
revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities across nutraceuticals,
cosmeceuticals, food & beverage, animal feed, and pet food sectors in the U.S.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (procurement,
R&D, product development teams)
• Drive the full sales cycle: lead generation → qualification → negotiation → closure
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market presence
• Coordinate with global sourcing, quality, and logistics teams for seamless order
fulfillment
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer
requirements
• Represent Green Jeeva at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings
across the U.S.
• Provide structured market feedback to internal teams for product development
and positioning
Key Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience in selling ingredients/raw materials in the
nutraceuticals or supplements industry
• Strong network within U.S.-based nutraceutical, herbal, F&B, or related industries
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
• Good understanding of ingredients such as botanical extracts, herbal powders,
and functional ingredients
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Self-driven, proactive, and highly result-oriented
• Willingness to travel extensively (~50% travel required)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with U.S. regulatory frameworks (FDA, dietary supplement
regulations, etc.)
• Prior experience in international sourcing or import-based ingredient businesses
• Background in life sciences, pharmacy, food technology, or related field.
