Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Leader to oversee and coordinate construction projects for our agency. This pivotal role involves managing on-site operations, supervising construction teams, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project schedules and budgets. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to problem-solving, a deep understanding of construction management software, and a passion for delivering high-quality results on time and within scope. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project milestones are achieved efficiently and safely
- Develop schedules, budgets and maintain communication with Director of program
- Oversee daily site activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols such as OSHA standards and proper use of tools on job site
- Manage project budgets, perform cost estimating and monitor expenditures to stay within financial targets
- Ensure quality control by inspecting work sites regularly, conducting inspections with tools and enforcing strict adherence to specifications
- Collaborate with Director, Fiscal team and crew on contracts, change orders, and procurement processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management
- Extensive knowledge of construction estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration
- Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, in order to lead crew
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety compliance
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while fostering collaboration and accountability
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues while on job site
