Green Hedges School Summer Camp is for campers in Preschool ages 3- through rising Grade 2.
Green Hedges is located in Vienna, VA, fourteen miles west of Washington, DC.
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to work from June 15 to July 31, with June 19 and July 3 as
holidays. Camp counselors guide and ensure the safety of children as they engage in camp activities.
They assist in the activity planning process and lead them as they participate in camp events.
Preference will be given to counselors who can commit to all seven weeks, although partial week
availability is also considered. The working hours are from 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., with the
possibility of extra hours available through Extended Day from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Competitive
hourly rates are offered, providing a rewarding experience for those passionate about working with

A successful candidate must be at least 16 years of age and will have:
- A love for working with children
- Outgoing and energetic
- Strong behavior management skills and experience working with children ages 3 - 7 years
- Interest in and/or knowledge of the academic and social-emotional development of young
- A high level of creativity and energy
- Demonstrated track record of punctuality and dependability
- Initiative
- Strong communication, collaborative, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills and respectful parent interaction
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods at a time
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Successful candidates must complete a required background check.
Responsibilities
- Move campers from homeroom to planned activities
- Greet and dismiss children
- Manage a group of campers ages 3-7
