Immediate Key Responsibilities:
A. Crew Management & Development
- Hire, onboard, train, and develop field crew members
- Conduct regular performance check-ins and provide coaching
- Foster a team culture built on accountability, safety, and pride in workmanship
- Address personnel issues promptly and professionally
B. Equipment Maintenance & Fleet Management
- Oversee routine maintenance schedules for all mowers, trimmers, blowers, and vehicles
- Coordinate repairs with vendors and ensure equipment is field-ready at all times
- Track equipment condition, flag replacement needs, and manage supply inventory
- Ensure trailers, tools, and safety gear are properly stocked and accounted for
C. Project & Operations Management
- Oversee active job sites for quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction
- Manage project timelines and communicate proactively with clients
- Resolve field issues, client concerns, and crew conflicts as they arise
- Collaborate with ownership on scheduling, pricing strategy, and growth planning
This role is designed to grow over time, with additional responsibilities introduced as the employee develops their skills and familiarity with the company:
A. Sales & Business Growth
- Prospect and develop new residential and commercial client relationships
- Prepare job estimates, proposals, and follow up on all open quotes
- Close contracts and manage client expectations from sale through completion
- Set daily schedules, assign crew to jobs, and manage labor efficiency
- Maintain a minimum labor revenue with weekly targets to be set
- Identify upsell and recurring service opportunities within the existing client base
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in landscaping or grounds management
- Leadership and crew supervision experience
- Strong knowledge of plants, hardscaping, irrigation, and lawn care
- Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
