Position Summary

Green Gold Group is seeking a reliable, skilled, and motivated Maintenance Worker to support facility operations within a regulated cannabis cultivation and manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining mechanical systems, supporting environmental controls, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to facility repair needs to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

   (Position may require additional hours as needed)

Key Responsibilities

·         Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC, dehumidification (Desert Aire, Quest), plumbing, and electrical systems.

·         Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and environmental control systems.

·         Monitor facility equipment performance and report abnormalities.

·         Conduct repairs involving lighting, plumbing, doors, walls, flooring, and general building systems.

·         Support installation and replacement of equipment under supervision of licensed trades when required.

·         Perform seasonal maintenance (snow removal, weatherproofing, etc.).

·         Maintain organized maintenance records and complete work orders in MaintainX.

·         Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and company safety standards.

·         Follow proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when required.

·         Assist with vendor coordination and contractor oversight when necessary.

Regulatory & Compliance Responsibilities

·         Maintain facility systems in accordance with regulations set forth by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission.

·         Support compliance with 935 CMR 500.000 and related operational requirements.

·         Ensure mechanical and environmental systems operate within approved cultivation parameters.

·         Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to security, sanitation, and safety.

·         Immediately report any system failures that may impact product safety, environmental controls, or regulatory compliance.

·         Adhere to state-mandated access control and restricted area protocols.

·         Maintain awareness of audit readiness and inspection standards.

Qualifications

·         2 years of experience in building maintenance, industrial maintenance, or facilities support.

·         Basic understanding of HVAC systems, electrical components, and plumbing systems.

·         Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.

·         Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs.

·         Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

·         Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions.

·         Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Experience in commercial grow facilities, manufacturing, or regulated industries.

·         OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

·         Experience working around 208V / 277V / 480V systems (under licensed supervision).

·         Experience with environmental control systems and humidity management.

Work Environment

Indoor industrial cultivation and production facility. Exposure to humidity, noise, and temperature fluctuations. Requires physical activity including climbing ladders and accessing mechanical spaces.

Compliance Requirements for Employment

·         Must be 21 years of age or older.

·         Must pass required background screening in accordance with Massachusetts cannabis regulations.

·         Must be eligible to work in a licensed cannabis establishment under state law.

·         Must maintain confidentiality regarding all proprietary cultivation and operational practices.
