Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage irrigation strategy to specific crop and growing conditions
- Monitor and adjust nutrient concentrations and water flow rates using irrigation and fertilization equipment
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems, and growing areas to ensure optimal operation
- Collaborate with co workers for best plant health requirements
- Maintain detailed records of nutrient applications, system performance, and crop responses for continuous improvement
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with irrigation equipment and perform routine maintenance using hand tools and mechanical knowledge
- Identify plants accurately to diagnose deficiencies or pests affecting nutrient uptake
Qualifications
- Proven experience in irrigation systems, horticulture, or related agricultural fields with a focus on fertigation management
- Strong growing experience across greenhouse environments, outdoor landscapes, or farms
- Knowledge of plant identification, soil health, and nutrient requirements for various crops
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate hand tools and perform basic repairs on irrigation equipment
- Familiarity with gardening, lawn care, landscaping, farming practices, and outdoor work environments
- Basic math skills for calculating fertilizer mixes, water volumes, and application rates
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling equipment or materials in outdoor settings
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
