Duties

• Perform detailed diagnostics on small engines, including troubleshooting electrical systems and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals
• Repair and overhaul various equipment such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, generators, and power tools, ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards
• Conduct routine maintenance on small engines and equipment to extend lifespan and improve performance
• Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and specialized diagnostic tools to complete repairs efficiently
• Identify electrical issues through diagnostics like electrical testing and troubleshooting electrical systems within equipment
• Follow safety protocols during manual handling and heavy lifting tasks to prevent injuries while maintaining equipment integrity
• Document all repairs accurately in service records and communicate clearly with customers about repair status and maintenance needs

Experience

• Previous dealership experience or service technician background is highly preferred to ensure familiarity with industry standards and customer service excellence
• Proven experience repairing small engines, power generation systems, or similar mechanical equipment
• Strong knowledge of schematics, electrical diagnostics, engine repair, and mechanical systems repair
• Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, automotive repair principles, and electrical work is advantageous
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and conducting equipment troubleshooting effectively
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately for precise repairs
• Demonstrated physical ability for heavy lifting, manual handling, and working in various environmental conditions
