Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Host/Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services while ensuring a seamless dining experience. This position requires a passion for hospitality, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using OpenTable or similar systems.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, relaying them to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with fine dining standards, ensuring presentation is impeccable.
- Assist with bussing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Uphold food handling standards to guarantee safety and sanitation in all aspects of service.
- Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions regarding food items or specials.
Skills
- Strong guest services skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences for patrons.
- Experience with OpenTable or plsimilar reservation systems is preferred but not required.
- Background in food service or restaurant operations is highly desirable.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Ability to work well within a team environment while also being proactive in individual responsibilities.
- Familiarity with fine dining etiquette and standards is a plus.
