Green Dot Public Schools is looking for experienced professionals to teach High School Building & Construction Career Technical Education (CTE) and prepare students for rewarding careers in the skilled trades.
Whether you're an experienced educator, a licensed contractor, construction professional, project manager, superintendent, carpenter, electrician, plumber, HVAC technician, or someone with extensive building and construction experience, we'd love to hear from you.
No teaching credential? That's okay.
If you're eligible to earn a California Career Technical Education (CTE) Credential or another qualifying California teaching credential, we'll help guide you through the process. Green Dot offers multiple pathways to becoming a teacher, including credentialing partnerships and ongoing support.
Who Should Apply?
We're looking for individuals who have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement)
- At least three years of professional experience in the building and construction industry
- Experience mentoring, supervising, coaching, training, or teaching others—or a passion for helping high school students develop real-world skills.
Licensed contractors are encouraged to apply.
Whether you've managed construction crews, trained apprentices, supervised job sites, or led safety trainings, your experience can make a lasting impact in the classroom.
