About the Role

The QC Technician is responsible for supporting quality control operations across cannabis packaging and production processes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring finished products meet Green Dot Labs quality standards, packaging specifications, and compliance requirements prior to distribution.

Working closely with Packaging, Inventory, and Production teams, this position supports efficient product flow through detailed product inspection, accurate documentation, and consistent execution of quality standards. The QC Technician also assists with maintaining organized work areas, supporting equipment upkeep, and identifying opportunities to improve quality consistency throughout production operations.

Responsibilities

Quality Control & Product Review

• Inspect packaged and grammed products to ensure compliance with company quality standards and product specifications
• Review labels, packaging components, and finished goods for accuracy and compliance requirements
• Identify and escalate product quality concerns, inconsistencies, or defects to leadership
• Support troubleshooting and corrective actions related to product variation or packaging issues
• Maintain understanding of quality standards across all product categories and finishes

Production & Operational Support

• Support packaging workflows and production scheduling activities
• Communicate process updates and quality expectations to team members as directed
• Assist with maintaining efficient product flow throughout production operations
• Support upkeep and basic maintenance of packaging and QC equipment
• Assist with reporting production and performance metrics as needed

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain accurate production, quality, and compliance documentation
• Follow all state regulations and internal compliance procedures
• Ensure all work is performed in alignment with SOPs and operational standards
• Support audit readiness and participate in compliance reviews as needed
• Maintain organized and compliant work areas

Facility Maintenance & Safety

• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workspaces
• Follow all safety protocols and proper use of PPE
• Support general operational cleanliness and equipment organization
• Assist with additional production support tasks as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1 years of experience in cannabis packaging, gramming, or production required
• Experience working in a licensed cannabis facility preferred
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain all required state-issued cannabis industry credentials applicable to the position and work location
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or defects
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to follow structured processes and quality standards
• Reliable transportation required

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role is primarily onsite in Boulder, CO and requires work within cannabis production and packaging environments. The position typically follows a 40-hour workweek with overtime as needed based on operational demands.

The role requires standing for extended periods, repetitive hand movements, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Work may involve handling small or delicate products within regulated production environments. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
