Position Overview

Stillwater Dental Associates is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. This position is ideal for a hygienist who is passionate about preventive care, enjoys educating patients, and values working collaboratively with a supportive team. You'll play a vital role in helping patients improve and maintain their oral health while delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Schedule

Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Enjoy a consistent four-day workweek with Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays off.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine dental cleanings and periodontal maintenance.
  • Assess patients' oral health and document clinical findings.
  • Record periodontal charting and update medical and dental histories.
  • Take and expose digital dental radiographs as needed.
  • Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants when indicated.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and home care techniques.
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment planning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and office safety protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment.
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients and team members.
  • Support a positive, efficient, and patient-focused clinical environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene required.
  • Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the State of Maine.
  • Current Dental Radiology certification/authorization as required by the State of Maine.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality patient care.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
