Green Cover is seeking a Cover Crop Sales and Research Intern for our Bladen, Nebraska location.
At Green Cover, we are dedicated to innovation and experimentation as a leader in the Cover Crop industry. We are continuously trialing a diverse range of cover crop and forage options in our test plots to benefit our customers. In the upcoming 2026 growing season, we are set to plant several hundred individual cover crop monoculture and mix trials. Green Cover will host multiple field days during the summer where we will invite hundreds of customers and industry people to view the plots and learn from what we are doing.
As a member of the sales team, the Cover Crop Sales and Research Intern will take part in many of the job aspects that our sales representatives do every day. You will receive training on all of our cover crop species, equipping you to make recommendations and answer questions about cover crop implementation. You will be a brand ambassador for Green Cover by attending several field days and conferences alongside other members of the sales team.
- Assist with planting test plots.
- Perform data collection activities including biomass samples, sap testing and soil sampling.
- Contribute to weed management activities.
- Learn the Green Cover sales process to assist customers with cover crop questions.
- Assist in the preparations for the Green Cover summer field days in August.
- Respond to customer inquiries via email and online help ticket tools.
- Represent Green Cover while attending field days and farmer meetings.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to capture pictures and videos of plants for both educational and promotional purposes.
- Complete a summer internship project and present the project to the sales team.
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen or authorized worker
- High School Diploma or GED
- Able to Lift 50 lbs
- Ability and desire to learn new skills
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
- Effective time management
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interests in cover crops and regenerative agriculture.
- Pursuing a degree in agriculture-related field.
- Able to relocate to Bladen Nebraska for the summer.
