What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Supervisor position at Green County?
The primary purpose of the Human Services Supervisor-Mental Health is to provide direct supervision to the Agency’s Mental Health Crisis Program and Outpatient Clinic. The position is responsible for the management of program operations, staff training and development, quality assurance and improvement, compliance with DHS 34 for Emergency Mental Health Services and DHS 75.50 for the Outpatient Integrated Behavioral Health Clinic. The Human Services Supervisor-Mental Health provides clinical supervision and consultation, and represents the Department on community coalitions, mental health related task forces, and in meetings with private practice behavioral health providers.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Graduation from an accredited college with a master’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or a related field.
- 3,000 hours of post-degree supervised professional counseling practice including at least 1,000 hours of face-to-face client contact.
- Three to six years of progressively responsible experience in a human service/social service agency; or, any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Knowledge of DHS 34, DHS 75, and DHS 94.
- Excellent oral and written communication, leadership and organizational skills.
- Knowledge and experience in computer use in a Windows environment, using Word, Excel, Publisher, and an Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) System.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Hold a valid, non-training, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) certification in the state of Wisconsin. Psychologists shall be licensed under ch. 455, Stats., and shall be listed or meet the requirements for listing with the national register of health service providers in psychology.
- Valid driver’s license along with unlimited access to a reliable, insured motor vehicle.
