Under the direction of the Human Services Director, the newly created Human Services Manager – Behavioral Health position will provide leadership and oversight of the Behavioral Health Division. This includes ensuring the Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic, Emergency Mental Health Services (Crisis), Comprehensive Community Services (CCS), and Community Support Program (CSP) are operating within requirements set by the State of Wisconsin, following best practices, and meeting the needs of residents of Green County. The Human Services Manager – Behavioral Health provides supervision to all Human Services Supervisors within the Division. This position is required to provide clinical supervision and consultation as needed, represents the Human Services Department and Behavioral Health Division in the Community, and provides backup supervisory support to the 24/7 Emergency Mental Health Services (Crisis) program.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Graduation from an accredited college with a Master’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or a related field, or a Medical Degree in Psychiatry or Doctoral Degree in Psychology is required.
- 3,000 hours of post-degree supervised professional counseling practice including at least 1,000 hours of face-to-face client contact is required.
- Three to five years of supervisory experience in a human service/social service agency; or, any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Knowledge of DHS 34, DHS 36, DHS 63, DHS 75, DHS 92, and DHS 94.
- Excellent oral and written communication, leadership and organizational skills.
- Knowledge and experience in computer use in a Windows environment, using Word, Excel, and an Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) System.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Hold a valid, non-training, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) certification in the state of Wisconsin. Psychologists shall be licensed under ch. 455, Stats., and shall be listed or meet the requirements for listing with the national register of health service providers in psychology.
