Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 – 3 years’ experience and/or training in clerical/reception role; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Prefer experience in hospitality environment where good communication and customer relations skills are essential.
- Ability to maintain 100% confidentiality with all work, conversations, documents, etc.
- Ability to recognize and respond to emergency situations.
- Ability to display a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude to the public, residents, and employees at all times.
- Experience in Senior Living preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for up to 75% of the work day.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the work day.
- Must be able to access and navigate full campus.
- Ability to maintain mental & visual attention to diversified operations.
- Ability to function efficiently despite distractions and interruptions.
General Summary:
The Assisted Living Receptionist is responsible for answering the AL telephones; greeting and providing appropriate assistance to residents, staff, guests, and vendors; assisting the AL management, nursing, and care staff with clerical duties; maintaining and monitoring various supplies as requested.
Essential Job Duties:
- Greets all persons who enter Green Country Village in a courteous manner; informs, guides, directs or otherwise assists residents, visitors, staff, and/or vendors tactfully and congenially to present the best possible image of the community.
- Assists in maintaining residents’ information in an orderly & complete manner.
- Completes all notices for admissions, discharges, deaths, and transfers – distributes to all departments as requested.
- Receives & checks in supply orders – restocks supply inventories.
- Accepts & records, as directed, payments, reservations, appointments, cancellations, etc.
- Provides a variety of administrative support to residents and other departments.
