Job Overview
Green Country Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dependable and hardworking Full-Time Kennel Technician to join our team. This position plays an important role in providing excellent care for animals staying at our facility. The ideal candidate enjoys working with animals, is reliable, and is comfortable in a fast-paced veterinary environment.
Kennel Technicians are responsible for the daily care and cleanliness of boarding animals, administering medications as directed by the veterinarian, bathing dogs, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of all animals in our care.
Schedule
- Full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Rotating weekends and holidays are required
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for boarding animals including feeding, watering, and monitoring health and behavior
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and boarding areas
- Walk and exercise dogs as needed
- Bathe dogs as part of the kennel care routine
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
- Wash and maintain bedding, bowls, and equipment
- Monitor animals for signs of illness, injury, or distress and report concerns to veterinary staff
- Maintain a clean and organized kennel environment
- Assist other staff members as needed to ensure proper animal care
- Provide compassionate and safe handling of animals at all times
Qualifications
- Must enjoy working with animals and be comfortable handling dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments

- Ability to work in a physically active environment (standing, bending, lifting, and cleaning throughout the day)
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and cleanliness
- Previous kennel, animal care, or veterinary experience is preferred but not required
- Must be able to work as a team and have strong communication skill
Pay
- Starting at $12 per hour for applicants without experience
- Pay is negotiable for applicants with relevant experience
- Top-tier kennel lead/hybrid role - $16-$18/hour
Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
