Role Description The Midwest Regional Sales Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Oak Brook, IL. This role is responsible for managing and growing sales across the Midwest region, including developing strategic account plans, building new customer relationships, and expanding business with existing wholesale, grocery, foodservice, and institutional accounts. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting sales presentations, negotiating pricing and contracts, and coordinating closely with internal teams on supply, logistics, and product offerings. The role also involves tracking sales performance, forecasting revenue, analyzing market trends, and providing regular reporting and insights to leadership. The Midwest Regional Sales Manager represents GCC and the Juan Valdez® brand at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events, while ensuring a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and long-term partnerships.
Qualifications
- Strong regional sales, account management, and business development skills, ideally within coffee, beverage, CPG, or foodservice industries.
- Experience prospecting, qualifying leads, and managing the full sales cycle from initial contact through contract negotiation and closing.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with wholesale, grocery, retail, and foodservice buyers, as well as institutional customers.
- Skills in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and using CRM tools to track performance and customer activity.
- Competence in analyzing market trends, pricing dynamics, and customer data to inform regional sales strategies.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including delivering presentations and product pitches to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines across a large territory.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, collaborating with headquarters and remote teams while traveling within the Midwest as needed.
