What are the responsibilities and job description for the Country Store Program Facilitator (24 hours per week) position at Green Chimneys?
BROAD RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Country Store Program Facilitator is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Green Chimneys Country Store and will facilitate student activities in a work-based learning program at the store. Will assist in operating the store for customers and will take part in seasonal Boni Bel activities. Will collaborate with Store Manager, Boni-Bel Farmer, Boni Bel Maintenance Worker, Boni-Bel Farm Program Facilitator, Per Diem Country Store Clerks, and Volunteers. Also supports the farm department and campus during special events.
Education/Experience:
- College degree preferred; high school diploma required
- Experience working with youth/special education students preferred
- Experience and/or knowledge of gardening/farming preferred
- Some knowledge of or experience working in a retail setting preferred
Licensure/Certification:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Successfully fulfill requirements to be an approved agency driver
- Become certified in and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training requirements
Physical/Mental Requirements (ADA Compliance):
- In order to perform the essential duties of the job, the incumbent must be able to speak, hear, see, and type
- Must have the ability to work long hours, in a hectic environment, often under pressure.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Must have the physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, pull, push, and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
This is a 24 per week position with a pay rate range of $16.01 to $20.01 depending on education level.
