Role Description
We are hiring a full-time Carpenter for marine and waterfront construction projects in the Skaneateles, NY area. Responsibilities include rough and finish carpentry, framing, measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing docks, decks, stairs, and related structures. The Carpenter will use hand and power tools, read basic plans, assist with structural work, load and unload materials, and help maintain a safe and organized job site. This position requires outdoor work in varying weather conditions and close teamwork with the construction crew.
Qualifications
- Carpentry or construction experience required; marine or outdoor construction experience preferred.
- Experience with framing, measuring, cutting, and assembly.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools safely.
- Ability to read basic construction drawings and follow instructions.
- Comfortable working outdoors, on or near water, and performing physically demanding work.
- Strong attention to safety and quality.
- Reliable transportation to job sites in the Skaneateles, NY area.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
