Scope:
The Senior Insurance Producer is responsible for all insurance product sales and service.
Accountabilities:
The Senior Insurance Producer will:
- Develop a base for long-term sources of clients by using referrals, as well as occupational and special interest groups to compile lists of prospects.
- Approach potential clients by utilizing mailings, phone solicitation and group presentations.
- Approach potential clients with an emphasis on agricultural and commercial policies, and be able to offer quotes for life, health, disability, auto, home, business, crop insurance, and annuities.
- Obtain underwriting approval by completing the application for coverage.
- Complete the coverage by delivering policies and planning future follow-up visits and evaluation of needs.
- Maintain a file of current customer policies and review files as necessary with customers.
- Actively cross-sell additional policies on existing accounts.
- Receive and forward policy payments to the agency or institution for premiums.
- Review insurance policies with customers.
- Participate in community activities as needed and any other activities that may arise.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- 4-year degree and/or applicable Insurance training
- Experience:
- 2 years professional experience with Insurance background
- Special Requirements:
- P & C and Commercial Licenses
