What You’ll Do
As a Machine Assistant, you’ll work side-by-side with an experienced Machine Operator — learning the ropes, keeping the line moving, and getting the skills you need to step up to Operator when you’re ready.
Your day will include:
- Helping set up and run high-speed paper machines.
- Loading paper rolls and threading paper through the line.
- Checking finished product for quality — fix small issues before they become big ones.
- Making basic machine adjustments with hand tools.
- Swapping out blades, parts, or change parts for new product runs.
- Keeping your area clean and safe.
- Learning how to run and troubleshoot downstream equipment — wrappers, folders, packers, stackers.
- Supporting your Operator and stepping up when needed.
