General Laborer – Roofing & Insulation
Location: Chicagoland Area
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $19–$35 per hour, depending on experience
About Green Attic
Green Attic is a growing Chicagoland home-services company with over 15 years of year-round work in roofing, insulation, solar, and construction.
We are hiring dependable general laborers. Minimal roofing or insulation experience is preferred, but we will train candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload tools and materials
- Prepare and clean job sites
- Assist roofing and insulation crews
- Help with roof tear-offs, material handling, attic preparation, air sealing, and insulation
- Keep trucks, tools, and equipment organized
- Follow crew-leader instructions and safety procedures
Requirements
- Able to perform physical work and lift construction materials
- Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, attics, and crawlspaces
- Comfortable working in heat, cold, dust, and tight spaces
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work without constant supervision
- Willing to learn and work as part of a crew
- Reliable transportation
Preferred
- Basic roofing, insulation, or construction experience
- Experience using hand or power tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Bilingual English and Spanish
Pay and Growth
- Starting pay from $19 per hour
- Up to $35 per hour for experienced installers or crew leaders
- W-2 or 1099 opportunities
- Training and advancement available
- Opportunity to grow into installer, driver, crew leader, or supervisor roles
Pay: $19.00 - $35.00 per hour
