Job Description
Reports to: Owner and CEO
Salary: Hourly, beginning at $20, depending on qualifications
Hours: Flexible, based on school schedules or other employment
Dress code: Business casual.
Location: 10406 North River Crossing, Woodway, TX 76712 (FM 185, just off Hwy 6)
Culture: Exuberant, lively landscaping company comprised of 30-40 team members (fluctuates seasonally). Hectic at times, but this is a very positive environment. Negative attitudes do not fit here.
Duties:
1. Work closely with owner and office manager to help us with a transition from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.
2. This job could take 4 - 6 weeks or could become a permanent position.
3. QuickBooks
Help us with multiple in-house payroll functions, including tax reporting,
Help us develop a strong list of management reports.
Help us with proper settings inside QuickBooks.
Help us with the synchronization between our CRM software and QBO
Help prepare payroll tax reports
Help prepare sales tax reports
Help with automations that will improve our efficiency.
MUST BE PROFICIENT IN QUICKBOOKS ONLINE. Do not apply if you are not very, very good with QuickBooks.
4. Help us with HR related items
Staffing - receiving applications and following a screening process
Assist in interviewing and hiring new team members
Assist in improving our Team Member Handbook
Assist in onboarding new team members
Speaking Spanish would be helpful, but not required.
4. General office management
Receive and route phone calls, text messages and emails to appropriate managers
Maintain an extremely organized work environment
Maintain filing systems (hard copy and digital)
Process worker's comp claims (not frequent)
Process general liability claims (not frequent)
Work with IT vendor to keep all computers, routers, modems and printers working properly.
Handle confidential information properly.

Assist in planning company events and meetings.
Help track continuing education and developmental programs.
