    Additional salary credit may be given for internal transfers and recent Greeley-Evans School District 6 rehires, up to $41.81 per hour plus benefits

    260 Days Annually

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    Required:
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Current Colorado Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B with P-2, S, and Air Brake endorsements.
    • Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
    • Three (3) years of school bus driving experience (may be waived by the Director of Transportation based on staffing needs).
    • Current CDE School Bus Driver Certification, or ability to obtain after hire.
    • CPI Certification, or ability to obtain after hire.
    • CPR/First Aid Certification, or ability to obtain after hire.
    • Brake Certification, or ability to obtain after hire.

    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    Summary/Objective:
    The individual is responsible for entering data to track mileage for all district vehicles for CDE documentation and performing various clerical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the shop and department. Key duties include providing year-end mileage reports to the Director of Transportation and maintaining availability to substitute as a driver for morning, mid-day, and afternoon bus routes.

    Essential Functions:
    • Enter and maintain vehicle mileage records with a high degree of accuracy for CDE reporting and district billing purposes.
    • Compile and provide monthly and annual mileage reports.
    • Maintain records, documentation, and data necessary for department operations.
    • Utilize district software systems, Microsoft Office applications, and Google
    • Workspace to perform assigned duties.
    • Drive morning, midday, afternoon, activity, and field trip routes as assigned.
    • Provide transportation coverage as needed to support operational requirements.
    • Assist in planning and facilitating monthly and annual transportation in-service trainings.
    • Pick up and deliver parts and supplies for fleet maintenance operations.
    • Maintain shop vehicle cleanliness and fuel levels.
    • Assist with inventory management and organization of supplies and parts.
    • Assist with tracking and documentation of purchases made using district purchasing cards.
    • Maintain shop cleanliness, including trash removal and general organization.
    • Supervise the summer cleaning crew and wash bay crew in the absence of the Driver/Other – Upholstery and Bus Detailing position.
    • Maintain associated records and documentation related to crew activities.
    • Maintain positive and effective working relationships with staff, students, families, and community members.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Work additional hours as necessary to support department operations.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Work Environment/ Physical Demands:

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
    • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
    • Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, squat, push, pull, pinch, and grip.
    • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
    • Ability to work around moving diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles.
    • Ability to work around fuels, chemicals, fumes, smoke, and noise associated with transportation and maintenance operations.
    • Ability to function effectively in a busy environment with frequent interruptions, radio traffic, phone calls, employees, students, and visitors.
    • Ability to work under fluorescent lighting and in shop environments.

    Additional Information:
    A pre-employment Ergomed evaluation is required as part of the hiring process.
