Salary: $23.75/hour minimum
Per Teamsters Contract
Bargaining Unit (click here for contracts): Teamsters
Report Times: 8:30am - 4:00pm
Daily Hours: 7.5 (7 paid)
Work Year: 2024-2025
Supervisor: District Medical Director
Civil Service Title: (Civil Service Title: Licensed Practical Nurse)
Minimum Requirements
Possession of a valid New York State Registered Professional Nursing (RN) license or valid New York State Licensed Professional Nursing (LPN) license.
Desired Qualifications
May attend to physical needs such as toileting, feeding, and lifting;
Assists the School RN with daily triage of students with chronic and minor health concerns and communicates health concerns to parents as needed;
Maintains an awareness of student status recognizing and reporting adverse signs; Communicates and collaborates with members of the health care team;
Assumes responsibility for an assigned office in the absence of the school nurse, under the direction of the District Medical Director;
Participates in departmental and interdisciplinary committees as assigned;
Maintains professional competence through participation in continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences;
Records information on student health records, accident reports and sports eligibility forms;
Assists with inventory of supplies;
Extra hours may be required;
Other Duties And Responsibilities As Assigned.
