Maintenance Planner/MRO is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities while managing the maintenance, repair, and operations materials to ensure equipment reliability, cost control, and minimizing downtime. This role bridges maintenance execution and inventory management by developing efficient work plans, ensuring parts availability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
What You'll Do:
- Must be a detail-oriented self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
- Develop detailed maintenance job plans, including labor estimates, materials, tools, and procedures.
- Must be familiar with or can shortly learn FIIX Maintenance Management software to perform inquiries and perform duties within Maintenance/Tool Crib responsibilities.
- Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Manage MRO inventory levels to ensure parts availability while controlling costs.
- Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and procurement to align schedules and priorities.
- Create and maintain bills of materials and asset-related spare parts lists.
- Generate and manage work orders in FIIX, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze maintenance and inventory data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Support reliability and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate supplier performance and assist with sourcing and standardization efforts.
- Will perform other duties as needed.
What We Need from You:
- 3-7 years’ experience in maintenance planning, maintenance supervision, or MRO/Inventory management.
- Strong working knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
- Experience managing MRO inventory, spare parts, and vendor relationships.
- Proficiency with CMMS/EAM Systems.
- Ability to develop accurate job plans, labor estimates, and material requirements.
- Solid technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or instrumentation systems.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate across maintenance, operations, and procurement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office software.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

This role works primarily in an industrial foundry environment that includes exposure to heat, dust, noise, and heavy equipment. The role involves a mix of office-based planning and regular time on the production floor to assess equipment, coordinate maintenance activities, and support troubleshooting efforts. Proper use of required PPE is mandatory, and the position may require extended hours, off-shift support, or response during plant outages or critical maintenance events.
