Position Summary
Greco & Sons is seeking experienced warehouse professionals to join our Outbound Warehouse team. This position is responsible for accurately selecting customer orders, safely operating powered industrial trucks, and preparing pallets for shipment in a fast-paced food distribution environment. This is a physically demanding position requiring employees to work in dry, cooler, and freezer environments while maintaining high productivity, accuracy, and safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following:
- Minimum 2 year of warehouse experience
- Minimum 2 year operating powered industrial trucks
- Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Ability to work multiple roles
- Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Ability to safely work around warehouse equipment
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
- Food distribution
- Grocery distribution
- Cold chain logistics
- Produce, meat, dairy, frozen food warehouses
- Sysco, US Foods, Performance Food Group, Shamrock Foods, McLane, UNFI, Costco Depot, Walmart Distribution, Amazon Fresh, or similar operations
Equipment Experience Required
Candidates should have experience operating one or more of the following powered industrial trucks:
- Center Rider Electric Pallet Jack
- Single Pallet Jack
- Reach Truck
- Electric Forklift
- Stand-Up Forklift
Experience with RF scanners and/or voice-directed picking systems is highly preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
- Select customer orders accurately using warehouse management systems
- Build stable, damage-free pallets
- Operate powered industrial trucks safely
- Stage completed orders for shipping
- Maintain productivity standards
- Maintain picking accuracy
- Perform daily equipment inspections
- Report damaged product or equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow GMP, SQF, and food safety procedures
Physical Requirements
Employees must be able to:
- Lift 10–60 pounds repeatedly
- Bend, squat, twist, and reach throughout the shift
- Stand and walk for 8 Hours
- Work in temperatures ranging from ambient warehouse conditions to refrigerated and freezer environments
