Transmission Works Auto Repair & Maintenance is a trusted full-service shop serving Portage and surrounding communities. We’re looking for a B-Level Automotive Technician—a key role in our team—to perform expert repairs and inspections in addition to transmission/engine diagnostics. that keep our customers safe and satisfied. What You’ll Do
- Complete accurate, high-quality repairs and services on customer vehicles
- Perform thorough inspections to identify needed repairs and services
- Communicate with Service Advisors to update work order status
- Occasionally interact with customers to explain vehicle conditions and answer questions
- Assist with quality control checks and shop cleanliness
- Promote a safe work environment and help maintain shop flow
- Support team tasks as needed (e.g., parts runs, customer shuttles)
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 3 years as an Automotive Technician or equivalent training
- ASE Certifications preferred (A4 Suspension & Steering, A5 Brakes, A6 Heating & AC, A7 Electrical Systems)
- Comfortable with transmission/engine diagnostics
- Ability to perform thorough vehicle inspections
- Valid driver’s license & insurable driving record
- Own your tools
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team spirit
- Comfortable using computers and diagnostic tools
