Intern, Mechanical Design Engineer
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineering student to join GreatNeck Tools, Inc. as a Product Design Engineering Intern. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working on real-world product development initiatives—from concept through launch—supporting tools and hardware products sold through major retail channels. This is an opportunity to directly impact product innovation while developing practical engineering and business skills in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
· Support the design and development of new products from concept through commercialization
· Create and refine 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools
· Assist in cost analysis, pricing strategies, and margin improvement initiatives
· Conduct market and user research to identify opportunities for new product development
· Partner with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain to bring products to market
· Contribute to packaging, product positioning, and go-to-market materials
· Analyze product portfolio performance and support data-driven decision making

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Interest in consumer products, manufacturing, or product design
