What are the responsibilities and job description for the MESH Instructor (Mental, Emotional, Social, Health) for Preschool (Part Time) position at Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA?
The Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA is seeking a MESH (Mental, Emotional, Social Health) Instructor to support and expand our well established Preschool program.
This postion, under the direction of our MESH Coordinator, will work in Wilkes Barre, but travel to two off sites (less than 10 miles) twice per week, using a company vehicle. They will deliver the same program to the other locations, keeping cosistent with the extablished model.
For this position, the coordinator would be responsible for understanding and implementing the curriculum on a daily basis (with all training provided), tracking data and measuring growth (by use of family and staff survey), and creating a program that is enjoyable and supportive for all children and staff.
This position is part time (25-27.5 hours per week). Schedule TBD, but could be 8am-1:30pm or 10am-3:30pm)
Requirements:
-All child care employees are required to obtain or possess four clearances (Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse History Clearance, DHS Fingerprinting ,and NSOR)
-Health Assessment with TB Test
-College credit preferred, but a minimum of Highschool Diploma and two years of experience working with children required. College coursework in the field of psychology or social work a plus.
-Mandated Reporter Training, Health and Safety Training, Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid
-Two written letters of reference
