Some early mornings, evenings and weekends are required based on program needs, trainings and meetings.

The Greater Wichita YMCA is seeking a Child Care Nutrition Program Coordinator to lead and support nutrition services across our Early Learning and School Age programs.

You'll help ensure children have access to nutritious meals and snacks while overseeing the systems, training and federal program requirements that make those services possible. You'll also be an important member of our Child Care leadership team, supporting staff and programs throughout our community.

What You'll Do

The Child Care Nutrition Program Director coordinates the Child Care Branch nutrition program and provides operational support to our Early Learning and School Age teams. A critical part of the roll is to manage detailed data entry, review and reconciliation processes to ensure meal counts, attendance records, enrollment information, and supporting documentation are accurate, complete and compliant with CACFP requirements. Conducts routine monitoring, checks and balances to identify discrepancies and ensure records accurately support monthly claims and reporting. Responsibilities include:

• Oversee the YMCA's participation and compliance with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
• Complete required CACFP applications, monthly claims, reports and documentation.
• Review enrollment and income eligibility documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate program monitoring, audits and site reviews.
• Train and support staff in food-service procedures, CACFP requirements and child care regulations.
• Monitor food-service budgets, expenses and inventory.
• Support healthy eating experiences and nutrition education for children, staff and families.
• Provide on-site coaching and technical assistance to programs.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, onboarding and training of Child Care staff.
• Serve as part of the Child Care leadership team and provide operational support to School Age programs.
• Be available to assist or substitute in child care programs when needed to maintain staffing and ratios.
• Support YMCA Annual Campaign activities and other branch initiatives.

• Is highly organized and pays close attention to details and deadlines.
• Can manage documentation, reporting and multiple program requirements.
• Has strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Is comfortable training, coaching and supporting staff.
• Can work independently while being part of a collaborative leadership team.
• Is comfortable working with budgets, spreadsheets and electronic reporting systems.
• Is flexible and willing to provide hands-on support when programs need it.
• Has experience working with children, youth-serving organizations and/or nutrition programs.
• Has previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Has experience with CACFP, licensed child care, school nutrition or food-service programs — a plus!

High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
