This is a high-impact executive role for a dealmaker who thrives on building relationships, attracting investment, and shaping the economic future of a community.

🎯 WHAT YOU'LL DO
─────────────────────────────
Business Attraction
→ Lead domestic and international business recruitment
→ Build relationships with site selectors, corporate executives, and real estate professionals
→ Develop incentive packages, financing options, and location proposals
→ Manage full project lifecycle from inquiry to deal closure
International Development
→ Identify and pursue foreign direct investment opportunities
→ Engage foreign consulates, trade organizations, and multinational companies
→ Represent Greater Waco at global trade missions and conferences
Stakeholder Engagement
→ Partner with local businesses on growth and expansion
→ Plan outbound events and inbound FAM tours for prospects
→ Build relationships with local, state, and federal ED partners
Research & Reporting
→ Conduct market research and competitive location analysis
→ Report regularly to the GWCC board and stakeholders
→ Manage the annual business development budget

✅ WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
─────────────────────────────
→ Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Public Policy, or related field
→ 5 years in economic development, business attraction, or international trade
→ Proven track record attracting domestic and international investment
→ Experience leading cross-functional teams and engaging government and business stakeholders
→ Knowledge of FDI practices and international trade regulations
→ Exceptional communication and presentation skills
→ Strong analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making
