Position: Driver – Direct Support Professional
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Driver – Direct Support Professional (DSP) to transport individuals with disabilities to appointments, activities, and outings while also providing support as needed in their daily lives. This role primarily focuses on transportation but may also include caregiving responsibilities.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday
- Morning Shift: 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM
- Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
- There may be additional shifts available per week
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for residents to medical appointments, community outings, and other destinations.
- Assist individuals in and out of the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Safely operate company or personal vehicles while following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle.
- Follow scheduled routes and respond to transportation requests in a timely manner.
- Assist individuals with basic daily living needs as needed.
- Participate in community activities with residents.
- Maintain accurate records related to transportation and resident care.
- Provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for individuals.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
- 1 year of experience in caregiving, home health, or working with individuals with disabilities (preferred).
- Must pass Level 2 background screening.
- Ability to assist individuals with mobility needs when entering or exiting the vehicle.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Must meet all APD Florida state regulations.

Pay: From $15.00-$16.00 per hour
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Driving/Transportation: 1 year (Preferred)
- Caregiving/Healthcare: 1 year (Preferred)
