The Basics of a Payments Services Manager:
- Full-Time, Exempt
- Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Hybrid Position - After the initial training period, a hybrid work model will become an option. You will be requested to work 3 days on-site and 2 days remote.

About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic and detail-driven Payments Services Manager to lead and elevate our money movement operations. In this role, you’ll oversee ACH, wire transfers, and emerging payment channels while driving innovation, compliance, and operational excellence. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of payments—enhancing member experience, minimizing risk, and optimizing performance across platforms.

- A strategic and hands-on leader with deep expertise in ACH, wire transfers, and electronic payment systems
- Strong knowledge of NACHA rules, federal regulations (Reg E, Reg CC, UCC 4A), and risk management practices
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage escalations, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end processing of ACH, wire transfers, and electronic payment channels, including exceptions and escalations
- Lead payment platform operations, enhancements, and vendor relationships
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system upgrades
- Monitor and report on KPIs such as transaction volume, processing times, and error rates
- Ensure operational readiness and integration of new payment solutions (e.g., RTP, FedNow)
- Manage vendor partnerships, incident escalations, and service performance
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and compliance standards
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
Other Duties
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning for payment operations
- Respond to member and internal inquiries, including escalations and complaints
- Partner with internal audit and compliance teams during reviews and examinations
- Complete required training, including BSA/AML compliance
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Must Haves as a Payments Service Manager:

Skills include:
- Strong expertise in payment systems (ACH, wires, electronic payments)
- In-depth understanding of NACHA rules, regulatory compliance, and risk management
- Proficiency with payment platforms, financial systems, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
- Working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and drive results
Experience:
- 5 years in payment operations (ACH, wires, electronic payments)
- 2 years of leadership or people management experience
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Nice to Haves as a Payments Services Manager:
- AAP (Accredited ACH Professional) certification
- Bachelor’s degree
